Located in the Eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Northern EMS Authority serves an area of approximately 1300 square miles as the primary 911 response for 8 townships which include Kinross Charter Township, Bruce Township, Marquette Township, Pickford, Neebish Island, Rudyard Township, Raber Township, Drummond Island Township, DeTour Village and DeTour Township. We also provide ambulance service for a Smithers Winter Test Center in Raco, Michigan and 3 Michigan State Prisons. We offer ALS intercept service for two BLS agencies throughout the region, Inter/Intra facility transfers, Special Pathogens Transport Team, and special event standbys that include football games, Snowmobile races and Chippewa County Fair grandstand events. Current stations locations: Kincheloe, Pickford, DeTour, and Drummond Island. Our pay scale coincides and exceeds with the area cost of living. There are many rental units and homes for sale. There is an abundance of outdoor recreation and opportunity to enjoy the surrounding natural resources throughout all of Michigan’s beautiful seasons.
